David James Wimber, age 90, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on July 22, 2018, in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on April 16, 1928 to David and Sophie Wimber (nee Baumann).
David is survived by his daughter: Kathleen (Dennis) Mercer of Saint Peters, MO, son: Donald Wimber, daughter: Janette Wimber, grandson: DJ (Kelsey) Mercer, granddaughter: Kelly (Eric) DeSplinter, granddaughter: Laura Walchli, grandson: Ryan Geers, grandson: Ian Wimber, grandson: Sean Wimber, grandson: David Case, great-granddaughter: Chyler DeSplinter, great-granddaughter: Sydney Wimber, Wimber and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Hazel Wimber, son: David J Wimber, daughter: Juanita Walchli, grandson: Alex Case, father: David Wimber, mother: Sophie Wimber, two sisters: Marylin Wimber and Loretta Wimber;
He was extremely proud of serving 20 plus years in the Marine Corps. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his animals. He was an avid reader.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will take place at a later date.
