Debbie R. Mcclain

Debbie is survived by her husband, Jeff McClain of 28 years. She was the daughter of the late, Ronald Smith and survived by her mother, Gale Smith and sister, Sherrie Brown. She was an aunt and great-aunt as well as niece and cousin. Debbie was also a very dear friend to0 many and she will be missed by all.

Debbie was born, raised, and lived in St. Louis/St. Peters, Missouri her whole life. She was a graduate of Parkway North High School in 1976. Debbie began working at the Sheraton West Port when it opened in 1973. After five years she became an office manager at two different machine companies for several years. Later she started her own decorating business and this is where she found her true passion.

As a teenager hockey was her favorite sport to attend and she enjoyed it her whole life. She loved to travel and was the best at planning exciting trips full of new memories. Debbie enjoyed fishing, reading, and movies. She was an outstanding cook and loved to bake and make special creations. Debbie was the greatest at entertaining. She would arrange events and celebrations from holidays, showers to milestone birthdays that were out of this world. Debbie could throw a party for a celebrity and not miss a detail, she was that good. She loved all her four legged baby girls. They were so lucky to have her as their mom.

Lastly, Debbie had the best sense of humor and no matter what she was going through she would have something funny to say to make you laugh, and of course she would join in. That laughter fed her soul. She was so special and one of a kind. We were blessed to have her in our lives, to know her and love her.

Debbie was our treasure.


Debbie was a flower girl, and if you plan to attend her service, her family invites you to bring a small bouquet of colorful flowers (no vase) in her honor. You are more than welcome to take your flowers home with you and enjoy them in remembrance of Debbie.
