Deborah Sphar, known lovingly to friends and family as Debbie, was born on June 25, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri. She passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, in St. Charles, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
As a graduate of McCluer High School, Debbie embarked on a career as a dedicated and hard-working Administrative Assistant. Her commitment to her work was matched only by the devotion she showed to her family and friends, who were always her highest priority.
Debbie was the epitome of a loving and giving spirit, a quality that shone brightly throughout her life. She cherished the moments spent traveling with her family, creating memories that would be treasured for a lifetime. Her love for cooking and sharing delicious meals with her husband, John Sphar, was another testament to her nurturing nature and her passion for bringing people together.
Debbie is survived by her devoted husband, John; her beloved daughter, Cindy Willhoyt; and her two adoring grandchildren, Thomas Sodoma and Kobe Willhoyt. She leaves behind her cousin, Bob (Wendy) Brooks, and a host of other family members and friends who were touched by her gentle heart and unwavering support.
In addition to the family she leaves behind, Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Edward Kasten; mother, Lois L. Kasten; and brother, Dennis Kasten. Each of these losses marked a significant moment in her life, adding depth to the love she shared and the strength she exuded in her role as a mother, wife, and friend.
As we remember Debbie, we also celebrate her vibrant spirit, her many passions, and the profound impact she had on all of us. Her legacy of love, her warm smile, and her contagious laughter will forever remain with us, reminding us to live each day with the same generosity and joy that she brought into our lives.
