Delores Reinert, affectionately known as Dee, was born on October 22, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this world on September 29, 2024, in St. Peters, Missouri, behind a legacy woven love, laughter, cherished memories.
Her journey through life was marked by deep connections notably with her beloved husband, LeRoy "Lee" Reinert, who stood by her side as both a partner and a best friend. Together, they embraced the beauty of the great outdoors, reveling in many years of camping under the stars, sharing stories and dreams that would fill their hearts with joy.
Delores had a fiery spirit and an undeniable passion for life that radiated through her time spent with family. She found immense joy in watching the Cardinals baseball team, cheering enthusiastically as she supported her favorite players. The echoes of her laughter resonate in the hearts of her family, particularly during countless board game days spent with her grandchildren, where every rolled die and drawn card was steeped in love and playful competition.
Her family tree flourished with the branches of Marilee (Douglas) Williams, her devoted daughter, and the hearts of her grandchildren—Stephen, Kevin (Laura), and Kristen. Also surviving Delores is her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Reinert, and another grandchild, Jennifer (Kevin) Rohlfing. Delores was also blessed to be a great-grandmother, showering love upon Danielle, Trent, Travis, Brookelyn, and Beckham Williams, and Gavin and Henry Rohlfing. Each child held a special place in her heart, their laughter becoming the soundtrack of her later years.
On the other side of life, Delores was preceded in death by cherished family members, including her dear husband Lee, her son William L. Reinert, her brother William H. Schulte Jr., and her parents, William and Christine Schulte. These loved ones have welcomed her with open arms, creating a celestial reunion filled with warmth and reminiscence.
As a testament to her life well-lived, family and friends are invited to gather at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters on October 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for visitation, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM until 11:30 AM. A Committal Service will then take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 12:45 PM, offering a moment of reflection and honor for a woman who touched the hearts of so many.
Delores Reinert will be remembered not just for her gentle spirit but for the memories she crafted and the love she shared, a glowing ember forever ignited in the lives of those she leaves behind.
