Deloris Fern Bowles Anderson, 84, passed away peacefully November 23, 2018. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Louis Wayne Anderson. She and Wayne married on Christmas Eve of 1952 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Metropolis, Illinois, and were together for nearly 60 years before his death on December 14, 2012. Deloris Fern and Wayne raised four children at their lifelong home in Ferguson, Missouri. She is the dear mother of Deborah Lynne Ferguson, Gary Wayne Anderson and wife Leatha, Robert Steven Anderson, and David Mitchell Anderson and wife Barbara. She is the loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Alicia Jenna and Eric Shea Parks and wife Melissa (Deborah); Bradly Wayne and wife Colleen and Jessica Donise Anderson (Gary); and Mark David and Eric Mitchell Anderson (David). She is great grandmother to seven great grandchildren: Alyssa Nicole Vincent (Alicia); Kaya Grace DeMaria and Xavier Shea, Violet Mae and Mila Rose Parks (Shea); and Cole Dempsey and Chloe Elizabeth Anderson (Brad). Deloris Fern was born June 26, 1934, in Sabula, Missouri, to the late Bert Bowles and Anna Johnson. She is the dear sister of the late James Edward Bowles, the late Herbert Edgar Bowles, the late Mildred Louise Windegger, the late Pauline Cuellar, the late Geraldine Nolen, the late Floyd Calvin Bowles, Betty June Virginia Bennett, Wanda Jean Reed and Lorene Mayberry. She is a dear aunt to many. Deloris Fern spent the final six years of her life as a resident of the Life Care Center in Bridgeton, Missouri. She was an avid Cardinals fan, enjoyed reading western novels, and loved hummingbirds and flowers of all kinds, especially roses and irises.
