Born June 25, 1939, Passed Away January 14, 2023
Dennis Baughn, age 83, of Wentzville, MO, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Dennis was born on June 25th, 1939 in Maryland Heights, MO, to Robert and Marcella Baughn. He was 1 of 5 children.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserves from 1957 - 1960, and the U.S. Army National Guard Reserves from 1960 - 1961.
He worked at McDonald Aircraft for 43-years as a Tool and Dye Inspector from 1958 until his retirement in 2001. Dennis was a 60-year member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (I.A.M.) union.
Throughout his life and into his retirement, Dennis had many hobbies including bass and crappie fishing on his boat at the Lake of the Ozarks, golfing, bowling, watching movies, playing Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros, and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He was an expert-level craftsman and enjoyed woodworking and building furniture in his home workshop. Dennis was an avid dog lover and enjoyed the company of his pups over the years, Duke, and Beau.
He had a knack for the arts and enjoyed activities such as drawing, painting, photography, listening to music - especially oldies but goodies, and playing instruments like the keyboard and organ.
Most of all, Dennis cherished the time spent with his family - and they cherished him too. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather (paw-paw), great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol Baughn, son, Jason Boehme (Sherry), granddaughters, Melissa Boehme (Tim), Amber Wiles (Brandon), and Taylor Boehme, and great-grandchildren, Carter Smith, Knox Rees, and Hudsyn Wiles.
Funeral Ceremony will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 21, 2023 with a visitation one hour prior at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be January 20, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at St. Peters Chapel.
