Dennis Allen Hickman, age 74, of Silex, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022. He was born in St. Charles, Missouri on July 15, 1947 to Frank and Mellisa Hickman (nee Koster).
Dennis enjoyed spending his time camping, telling stories especially about his time in the military, waxing his truck, drawing, and starting projects but not finishing them. He loved John Wayne, he was Dennis's idol. When Dennis was younger he was an alter boy and could understand the service when it was spoke in Latin. Above all else he loved his family, his dogs and bird. In addition to being in the Army he was also in the National Guard, in total he was in the military for 20 years where he received a purple heart along with several other medals.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Marie Hickman, children, Monica (John) Logan, Christopher Hickman, Valerie Robertson and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mellisa Hickman,his son, Frank Hickman, and his sister, Thelma Stephens.
Services will be July 16 at the VFW hall in Troy, MO, 444 State Hwy J, Troy, MO 63379, 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
