Dennis L. Hummel, age 70, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. He was born in Normandy, Missouri on January 2, 1954 to George and Netta Hummel (nee Sutton).
Dennis enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an active member of the Vision Christian Church community in Foristell, MO where he played Bass guitar during worship. Dennis was also a tinkerer at heart, a music and car enthusiast, and an unapologetic Cardinals fan. But above all else; his family, friends, and God were what he cherished the most. He was deeply loved, and he will be greatly missed.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Debra Hummel; his children, Daniel (Angela) Hummel, Paula Hummel, Diane (Scott) Heisler, and Tracy (William) Ficor; his step-daughters, Kristen (Jonathan) Townes, and Lisa Kuczma; his grandchildren, TJ Heisler, Damian Howes, Rebecca Hummel, Adelynne Hummel, Owen Townes, and Maddox Townes; his sisters, Peggy Reisenger, Betty Jo (Kenneth) Kuczma, and Debra (Steven) Swanberg; his brother, James Hummel; and his sister-in-laws, Janet Hummel, and Virginia Hummel. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Hummel; his mother, Netta Hummel; his brothers, George (Katherine) Hummel, Eugene (Shirley) Hummel, Robert Hummel, and Ralph Hummel; his sisters, Virginia (Woody) Klinger, Marie Hummel, Shelvia (Lee) Fletcher, and Sharon Wells; and his brother-in-law, Richard Reisenger.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm with a funeral service at 6:00 pm all on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
