Dennis P. Murphy

Dennis Patrick Murphy, affectionately known to many as "Murph," passed away peacefully on November 6 2024, in Creve Coeur, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 1, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, Dennis led a life that was characterized by his unwavering support for those he cherished.

Dennis was a man of few words, but he spoke volumes. He was quiet yet immensely helpful, always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. His loyalty to friends and family was steadfast, and he took great pride in being a devoted father. Dennis ensured that his family was well cared for, demonstrating his love through his dedication and hard work.

Much of his time was spent on the family farm in Rolla, Missouri, where Dennis found joy in simple pleasures. He loved driving tractors and ATVs, relishing in the beauty of rural life. Those experiences were not just hobbies for him; they symbolized the warmth of family and the grounding nature of home.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Michele Murphy, who cherished him profoundly. He leaves behind his wonderful sons, Thomas (Katherine) Murphy and Patrick (Natalie) Murphy, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and generosity. His grandchildren, Kerrigan Murphy, McCoy Murphy, Ethan Bringham, Emery Bringham, David, Alyssa, Brant, and Mila, were the light of his life, and he found immense joy in their laughter and growth.

He is also remembered fondly by his brother, Mike Murphy, who shared in both cherished memories and life’s journey.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Helen J and Arthur Murphy, who instilled in him the values of love, commitment, and hard work that he passed down to his own family.

As friends and family gather to pay their respects, they will remember Dennis as a man whose heart was as vast as the landscapes he drove across, a gentle soul who left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, on November 10, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service that celebrates Dennis’s remarkable life. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of his loved ones.
