Dennis Michael Szarwinski, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, left us early on the morning of December 30, 2024, in Bridgeton, Missouri. Born on June 29, 1968, in St. Louis, Dennis grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature, fostering a deep love for the outdoors throughout his life. He was a talented landscaper, taking great pride in his work, and it brought him immense joy to transform spaces with his green thumb.
Dennis had a personality that could light up any room; he was always happy-go-lucky, embodying the spirit of one of the good guys. His infectious laughter and optimism resonated with everyone who knew him. He had a special bond with his mother, often calling her with the "joke of the day," just to hear her laugh.
One of the proudest accomplishments of Dennis's life was his son, Tyler, who was truly the joy of his life. Together, they forged countless memories under the open sky. As a father, Dennis was never without his enthusiasm for adventure, often sharing afternoons filled with laughter and warmth. Tyler would follow closely behind with his toy lawn mower, echoing the love that Dennis had for landscaping and the outdoors. Their shared moments around bonfires were filled with stories, laughter, and the kind of camaraderie that made their bond unbreakable.
Dennis also cherished his time in his youth riding his dirt bike, making memories with his brother, Frank, at Beaumont reservation and their friends' clubhouse in Hermann, MO. Those escapades reflect the spirited joy of his younger years. As he transitioned into daily life, he found pleasure in watching "The Price Is Right" and "Let's Make a Deal," enjoying the simple yet fulfilling moments.
He leaves behind not just family, but a wealth of friends, cousins, and loved ones who will forever remember his smile and the joy he brought into their lives. He is survived by his beloved parents, Al and Kathy Szarwinski, his brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Christy Szarwinski, and his cherished nephews, Conner and Andy.
Dennis is preceded in death by his dear son, Tyler, who was his pride and joy. The loss of Tyler shaped a part of Dennis's heart, yet the love they shared continues to resonate as a guiding light in the lives he touched.
As we remember Dennis, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, humor, and love for the outdoors. His spirit will forever be intertwined within the earth he cherished and the hearts he touched.
