Dennis Lee Tankersley Sr.

Dennis Lee Tankersley, age 62, of Warrenton, Missouri passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020. He was born in St Charles, Missouri on August 10, 1957 to Lawrence and Kathryn Tankersley (nee Ward).
Dennis met the love of his life , Brenda, as a teenager and later married her in 1976. They spent the next 44 years at each others side. They went on to have two children, Dennis and Nicole, and 8 wonderful grandchildren. He spent his younger days starring on the baseball , football fields and basketball court. Played for many years with his "brothers " on the Foust softball team. Then he spent the next 30 years following his kids and grandkids around the country on ball fields. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to be in a deer stand. He was a devoted family man and a true friend to everyone lucky enough to meet him. Rest In Peace Big D , The Old Man , Papa and Dad.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Brenda Tankersley of Warrenton, MO, son, Dennis Lee (Jodie) Tankersley, Jr., daughter, Nicole Renee (Matt) Moore, eight grandchildren; Madisen, Ava, Jacksen, Elizabeth, Lincoln, Dylen, Haley and Jeremiah, one brother, Lawrence ( Shevawn) Tankersley, two sisters; Linda (Mike) Hammerle, and Jeanie (Chris) Hallemeyer and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Kathryn Tankersley, a brother Larry Tankersley, and a sister Judy Whiteley.
