Dennis W. Walker, age 70, of Chesterfield, Missouri left his old body behind to claim the new one that Jesus had waiting for him in Heaven on Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was born in Florence, Kansas on February 11, 1952 to Kenneth and Opal Walker (nee Brewer).
Dennis was a fascinating man, the classic larger than life guy. He had a brilliant mind and was a master story teller. Dennis had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He was known to have a strong will which he demonstrated by giving up drinking, smoking, and losing weight to gain back his health. Dennis was sweet and generous with his family and those he loved. He was strong in his faith and demonstrated this by his willingness to apologize and forgive as Jesus taught.
He and his wife enjoyed 20 years of love and marriage. They showed their love for each other in many ways including giving each other sweet nicknames and always telling each other "I love you" at the end of every phone call or conversation. His wife was very proud of him. He was her rescuer, hero, and best friend. He allowed her to move back to Saint Louis to be near her family even though he had dreamed of living near the ocean. In his last weeks on Earth, Dennis made sure everything was arranged for Nadine, so she was able to sell their Chesterfield home and move nearer to her son.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Nadine E. Walker; his step-children, Shannon Louise (Chad) Allen, and Timothy James (Jessica) Pace; his step-grandchildren, Jasper James Lyle Allen, Alexander Jacob Allen, Dominic Franklin Allen, Bethany Ann Delores Allen, Remington James Pace, Jace Liam Pace, and Evan William Riley Stoehr. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth "Wayne" Walker; his mother, Opal Mae Walker; and his brother, Steve Walker.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a service to follow at 2:00 pm both on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, West County Chapel, 2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, Missouri 63017.
