Donald L. Balducci, affectionately known as Don, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, in Weldon Spring, Missouri, at the age of 82. Born on December 5, 1942, in St. Louis, Don was a pillar of love and strength for his family and friends.

Don was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a loyal friend. His warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Meredith Ann Balducci, and his parents, Louis Patrick Balducci and Virginia Balducci, Don's legacy continues through the lives he touched.

He is survived by his three cherished daughters, Elise (Daniel) Thompson, Deborah Balducci, and Monica (Tom) Lesinski, and his son, Donald (Kristina) Balducci Jr. Don's legacy is further carried on by his seven grandchildren—Eric Thompson, Renee Sunberg, Matt (Karissa) Thompson, Megan (William) Kinder, Jacob Lesinski, Andrew Balducci, and Isabella Balducci—as well as his four great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Sunberg, Liam Sunberg, Heather Thompson, and Olivia Thompson.

In addition to his immediate family, Don is also remembered by his siblings, Rick (Carol) Balducci, Sue (Jim) Hendrian, and Joanie Shinall, along with a host of other family members and friends who cherished their time with him.

Don was not just a husband, father and grandfather; he was an artist at heart. He delighted in writing poetry and stories that echoed the beauty he found in life. His passion for music and the outdoors led him to the mountains and horseback riding, where he found solace and inspiration. He was also an athlete, embracing the joy of competition and camaraderie.

In all facets of his life, Don exemplified a spirit of creativity and adventure that inspired those around him. His zest for life and unwavering dedication to his family will forever be remembered; he was a beacon of light in the memories shared by all who knew him.

While we mourn the loss of Don, we also celebrate the profound impact he had on our lives. He will forever remain in our hearts and thoughts, cherished by those who were lucky enough to call him family and friend.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
