Donald G. Coomes, age 78, of Portage Des Sioux, Missouri passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 in Portage Des Sioux, Missouri. He was born in Cairo, Illinois on November 17, 1945 to Daniel and Wilhelmina Coomes (nee Sauerbrunm).
Donald was devout Christian and served his community as a Minister for over 30 years; extending his ministry into other countries like Mexico through numerous mission's trips.
Donald is survived by his wife, Lula Coomes; two daughters, Arrawanna and Sheila; two brothers, Cliff Waller and Jimmy Laskaris; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Coomes; mother, Wilhelmina Coomes; two brothers, Ronald Coomes and Richard Snyder.
Visitation will be from 10:30 until 11:30 am with a Funeral Ceremony at 11:30 am Monday, December 11, 2023 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will immediately follow after service 1:30 pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
