Donald Coplen

August 28, 1957 — December 4, 2020

Donald Wayne Coplen, age 63, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020. He was born in Oakland, California on August 28, 1957.

Don was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He had a zest for life and a love for being in nature. Don always marveled at God's Creation and was the most at peace when fishing, sitting in a deer stand, or running his beagles. Even when Don was doing these things that he cherished, he was always staying in touch with those that he loved so dearly. It was expected that Don would send a selfie of himself dressed in camouflage, holding a big bass or capturing a rainbow, sunset or sunrise.

Don was a lover of people - never letting a chance go by to wave at others, share a smile, give a hug or ask how someone was doing. He would pray for others every day, even on the days that his cancer was hurting the most. Don wanted people to feel loved and would share with anyone that his strength came from Christ alone. If someone was lost or needing a friend, Don wanted to shine his light for them and share the love of Jesus with anyone who needed to hear it. When life's circumstances would bring him down, Don lived by the motto of "cowboy up" and would make the most out of each day he was given.

The greatest love of Don's life was his bride, Cindy. They met as teenagers and never left each other's side. Through their life together, they raised their two children and enjoyed their grandchildren so very much. Family is what brightened Don's spirits, even on the toughest of days. Don was a Godly man of grit, character, and love love love.

Don is survived by his wife, Cynthia Coplen; his children, Brian (Kendall) Coplen and Shawn (Randall) Levesque; his grandchildren, Elle Levesque, Clara Levesque, Kash Coplen, and Baby Coplen, due around December 17th; and his sister, Kim Coplen. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Coplen; and his paternal grandmother, Iva J. Smith.
