Don was a machinist for McDonnel Douglas/Boeing Aerospace for over 35 years. He was instrumental at the assembly of multiple fighter jets and worked on the Gemini Space Program. Don had the pleasure of meeting the astronauts of the Gemini Program, who thanked him for his influential role in ensuring their safety during the flight and safe return home.
Don was fortunate to be able to retire from Boeing at age 58, after 35 years of dedicated service. He was then able to pursue other passions, such as: golf, travel and quality time with family and friends. Don had a wonderful sense of humor; he was a great storyteller and loved to reminisce about all of the interesting people he had met along the way. Don loved family gatherings, which included good food- some of his favorites were: pork steaks, ribs, baked beans, deviled eggs and all types of desserts.
