Donald Thomason, Sr.

Donald Theodore Thomason, Sr., age 58, of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Saint Louis. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 28, 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents Duard Thomason and Earleen (Weaver) Thomason.

Don was a graduate of Hazelwood East High School. Quite the athlete in his adolescence Don excelled at any sport he played. He was united in marriage to the Karen Downes on February 19, 1982 at Our Lady of The Presentation in St. Louis. Don had a career with Schnucks as a Produce Manager for 30 years. Don also had another "career" in coaching and managing his two sons in competitive baseball which he took great pride in. After his retirement from Schnucks in 2011, he continued his love for sports and the game of baseball by following the Cardinals. Don also loved spending time with his beautiful wife, children, and grandchildren.

Don is survived by his loving wife Karen Downes Thomason, his three children, Donald Theodore Thomason Jr., Krysta Noel Haag (husband Christopher Haag), and Casey Ryan Thomason. Survivors also include his five grandchildren: Parker(5), Sloan(3) and Vera(1) Thomason, Korah Haag(8) and Carson Haag(2 mo). Finally, his brother and sister-in-law David and Lorrie Thomason along with his sister Christine Newlin .

A Memorial Service in Celebration of Donald's Life will be on Saturday September 2, 2017 at 11:00 am. Service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. The family will receive friends and family prior to services from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will immediately follow Services at Kevin and Sharon Downes. All are welcome!
