Doris was most passionate in life about her family and her faith. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lombard, Illinois where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. Years later, she joined United Methodist Church of the Shepherd where she served as a Lay Minister who visited shut-ins and provided communion for them. She was also active in the Christ Care group and Friendship Sunday School class. Her love of children was evidenced as she worked as a volunteer grandparent at Fairmont Elementary where she helped kids learn to read. Doris also worked for many years in the Scouting program.
Doris was very creative and enjoyed spending her time doing crafts, especially sewing. She also loved gardening and had a beautiful rose garden.
Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
