Dorothy "Dot" Kapeller

Dorothy "Dot" Kapeller, beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on December 20, 1940, Dot lived a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She will be remembered not only for her warmth and kindness but for the deep connections she forged with all those whose lives she touched.

Dot is survived by her three sons, Terry (Patricia) Kapeller, Todd (Joy) Kapeller, and Troy (Kathe) Kapeller, and her daughter, Melissa (Randy) Mays. The joy of her life came in the form of her eleven grandchildren: Cynthia, Christina, Brandon, Samantha, Kaylee, Tessa, Alycia, Austin, Abigail, Jessica, and Hunter. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in their accomplishments and adventures, always serving as a source of encouragement and support.

Preceding her in death was her husband, David Kapeller, whose memory she held dear throughout her life. She was also preceded by her father, Ida Hall, and her mother, Marjorie Campbell, both of whom shaped her into the remarkable woman she became.

Dot's life will be celebrated at services held on March 4, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The family invites all who knew and loved Dot to share in remembering her vibrant spirit and the indelible impact she made in their lives.

Dot's legacy of love and compassion will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding us all of the profound connections that unite us. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
