Dorothy Marie Fields

Dorothy Marie Fields age 68, of Foristell, Missouri passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 25, 2018. Dorothy was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 13, 1950. She was the daughter of Frank and Lorraine (Boswell) Tinker. She was married On May 7, 1989, to John Fields in Las Vegas, Nevada. John knew he made the right choice in Dorothy. For on their way to the chapel to be married, John put $50 on the line at a craps table and won $150! John and Dorothy had many laughs and great memories when telling their story to new friends.

Dorothy was a homemaker her entire life. She loved to work for hours tending to her yard, pruning her flowers and growing vegetables. Dorothy also had great skills in her kitchen preparing the meals for her family and friends. John tells everyone that Dorothy was the best cook he ever met! She also loved doing anything outside especially fishing and camping. However, her true joy in life was spending time at home with her family and friends and having what Dorothy would call "get-together's."

Along with her mother and loving husband, John, Dorothy is survived by her 2 sons, Brian (Wendy) Owens of Laurie, MO and Billy (Christie) Owens of Ellsinore, MO; 2 step-sons, John Anthony (Theresa) Fields of Lynchburg, MO and Jack Fields of Lebanon, MO; 3 brothers, Steve, Stan and Jeff Tinker; 14 Grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Tinker, Sister, Susan Severs, Sister, Janet Lewis.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018, 11:00 am to 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters. Funeral will immediately follow at Newcomers.
