Dortha Mae Longinette, age 100 years, of St. Charles, MO, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020. She was born in Caruthersville, MO on October 31, 1919 to parents Daniel and Virgie Lacewell (nee Neal).
She was married to the love of her life, Edward Longinette, from 1946 to 1986.
Dortha is survived by her two daughters, Beverly (Bill) Weber and Peggy Kerner, four grandchildren, Tracy (Rich) Bowler, Melissa (Jan) Masopust , Greg (Erin) Kerner and Bryan (Rachel) Kerner, and six great-grandchildren Hayley and Will Bowler, Baron and Hayes Masopust, and Will and Jackson Kerner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Virgie, her brothers and sisters, Carmel, Buster, Tootsie and Bunk, her son, Clyde Dale, her husband, Edward and her son-in-law, Glenn.
There will be no visitation for Dortha, and her funeral service will be private with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, next to husband, Edward.
Dortha had many talents, including quilting, crocheting and knitting, and as a member of Newborns in Need, Inc. she served God's children by creating many items for babies in need.
