Ed Kertz, age 79, of Ballwin, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was born in Bloomsdale, Missouri on February 21, 1944 to Andrew and Mathilda Kertz (nee Fallert).
Edwin is survived by his children, Laurie (Patrick) Kertz Kelly, Bernie (Alicia) Kertz, and Alan (Frida) Kertz; grandchildren Ella Kertz, Clayton Kertz, and Freya Kertz; brothers, Alois (Molly) Kertz, Denis Kertz, and Andrew (Jill) Kertz; and sister, Judy (Mike) Trautman. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Nicholas Kertz; mother, Mathilda Frances Kertz; granddaughter, Mya Kertz; sister, Dorothy (Glenn) Hermann; and brother, Herbert Kertz.
Ed was a longtime parishioner of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, and was an active member of the Men's Club. He served his country with honor in the United States Army.
