Edward J. LaTour, 74, died on Friday, June 5, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. Ed was born on May 11, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Army. He was very involved in every sport his children played, especially soccer. He was active in the Boy Scouts as a Scout Master. He enjoyed cooking, home improvement projects, and spending time with family and friends.
After a career in banking, he went on to become the Executive Director of the Missouri Youth Soccer Association. He managed the J.B. Marine Soccer Club and took great pride and joy in being part of the success and development of so many young people in his community.
He is predeceased by his parents George and Carmela LaTour and his brother-in-law Don Newton.
He is survived by his wife Pat; his son Michael (Autumn) LaTour; his daughter Elizabeth (Kate Drohan) LaTour; his granddaughter Ellis LaTour Drohan; his sister Georgia (Larry) Bowdre; his sister Suzanne LaTour Newton; nephew Todd (Tiffany Palozzi) Bowdre; nephew Chad (Alison) Bowdre; nephew Jason (Sommer) Bowdre; nephew Jason (Kara Silverglat) Newton; and their children.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 14 from 4-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376. Funeral service for family and close friends will take place on Monday, June 15 at 11am at Newcomer Chapel. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will follow at 1pm.
