Edward J. Leriche, died peacefully after a long illness on May 15, 2017.
Edward is survived by his wife of 66 years, Merle V. (Chappell) Leriche; 5 children Renee (Kermit) Simmons, Dennis Leriche, Phyllis (Bill) Henson, Glenn (Kathy) Leriche and Thomas Leriche; 10 grandchildren, Robert Summers, Matthew (Carol) Simmons, Anthony (Tracy) Leriche, Jason (Tiffany) Leriche, Lora (Dave) Keen, Lisa Leriche, Stefanie Shure (fiancée, Matt Oblein), Stacie Henson, Christina (Alex) Gooch and Wade (Chelsea) Leriche; 17 great-grandchildren Alyssa, Grace, Charles, Parker, Brianna, Donovan, Ian, Ryan, Zander, Elijah, Charleigh, Delainie, Caitlyn, Alison, Sullivan, Sloan and Easton.
He had been a resident of Delmar Gardens O Fallon, Missouri for the past 4 years. A member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cottleville; Machinist Local 837, VFW Post 2866 St. Charles, Missouri and a Veteran of the Army Air Force. Ed received 6 bronze stars while serving his country. Ed will be greatly missed as a husband, father, grandpa and G-Pa.
He loved to say, "What A Family!".
The funeral service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive Saint Peters, Missouri 63376 on Sunday May 21st, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. The family will greet guest from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. The interment with full military honors will be held at National Cemetery Jefferson Barracks on Monday May 22nd, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.
Memorials are suggested for one of Ed's favorite charities - Wings of Hope, 18370 Wings of Hope Blvd. Saint Louis, MO 63005 and will be accepted at the funeral home.
