Our Beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather,
Edward William Lindenmann Jr. passed away on January 31, 2020 at Lewis and Clark Gardens in St. Charles, Missouri.
Memorial service will be held between 4 and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12 at Newcomer Funeral Home on 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376.
Funeral procession will leave Newcomer Funeral Home on Thursday, February 13 at 10 a.m.
Graveside services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with full military honors.
Ed was born on October 10, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri to Edward William Lindenmann Sr. and Ethel Ida (Pristel).
He was their only child and he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952.
Ed served in the United States Army and Army Reserves. While serving in the Army he met his first wife and the mother of their children, Olga Jean Revels.
He served at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
He worked in sales for 50 years, first for a St. Louis company Grinnell then later Crane plumbing supply, then he retired from Sexauer plumbing and supplies.
Ed's true love was leading his son's Boy Scout troop, Troop 367. His hobbies included collecting coins and stamps. Also every year he was an Old Newsboy.
Ed's other passion was being a member of the Freemasons, Crestwood Anchor Masonic Lodge and Moolah Shriners Temple in St. Louis.
He was also in the Arab Patrol and YOMO clubs. He also enjoyed donating his time with the Moolah Shrine Circus.
Ed loved singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame along side eating pretzels and enjoying a tall cool Budweiser while watching the Cardinals play.
He is survived by his daughters Susan (David) Wasielewski, Carol (Chris) Knapp and his son Paul Lindenmann, Grandchildren Brian (Dana) Lindenmann, Suzanne (Josh) Onkle and Laura (Luke) Purewal,
Great-Grandchildren Eli and Adam Lindenmann, Zenna Onkle, Britton, Ethan and Luciano Purewal.
Donations may be sent to the Shriners Hospital.
