Edward Henry Sittner Jr.

Edward Henry Sittner Jr., age 83, of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
He was a loving husband, father of three and a grandfather of eight, great-grandfather of one.

Edw was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 26, 1937 to Edward and Doris Sittner (nee Spilker). He attended Southeast Missouri State University where he played football and studied business. On February 24, 1962 he married Judith Kay Saffley. They raised three children, Ellen, Julia, and Scot. Edw worked for American Car Foundry and Pullman Standard/Trinity Industries where he was a sales rep/engineer for 45 years. Edw held multiple patents on railroad car related technology.

Edw had a passion for the great outdoors, hunting, archery, and conservation. He coached for many years in the St. Charles JFL football league and the St. Charles Community Youth softball league. He was known for his quick wit, his ability to charm a room, and his dedication to help launch new Lutheran mission churches.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Edward Henry Sittner, Sr.; and Mother, Doris Esther Sittner.

Edw is survived by his Wife of 59 years, Judith K. Sittner, and their three children, Ellen (Ken), Julia (Gregg), and Scot, his sister Martha, grandchildren Kraig (Katie), Kyle, Erin (Josh), Dana (Joe), Ethan, Rylan, Jordan, Olivia, and great-granddaughter Kenzie. He will be dearly missed by a host of other family members and friends.

Due to COVID restrictions a funeral service will be held for immediate family only on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals.
