Edward D. Vanover

Edward Duane Vanover, age 94, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023. He was born in Freemont, Missouri on July 26, 1929 to John and Rachel Vanover (nee Green). Edward married Shirley Vanover in 1950. He was devoted to her for 60+ years and was a true family man who loved books and reading his Zane Gray collection. Golf, fishing, country music, dancing and a spirited game of dominos or cards were some of his hobbies. Edward was also a Tool Crib Attendant at Boeing for 38 years.

Edward is survived by his Two Sons, Michael D. (Marsha) Vanover of Saint Peters, MO, Gregory E. (Dillon) Vanover of Saint Louis, MO; Granddaughter, Sarah (Bradley Heitz) Vanover; Three Great-Granddaughters, Hannah Vanover, Addison Fann, Alannah Heitz; Great-Grandson, Joel Michael Fann; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Shirley Vanover; Father, John Edward Vanover; Mother, Rachel R. Vanover;

Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral ceremony will take place immediately following at 6:00pm. Interment will be private.
