Elizabeth Ann Schroeder age 50, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away after fighting a courageous battle against cancer on March 18, 2018. As was all through her life, she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and dear friends. Beth was born on September 3, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Henry and Dolores (Borgmeyer) Klaesner. On June 24, 1995 she married the love of her life Daniel Schroeder.
Beth graduated from the University of Missouri and later earned her Master's Degree of Reading Education. Upon receiving her degree, Beth spent the next 27 years of her life teaching in the Hazelwood School District. She loved being around children and had a gift in her ability to help develop the skills and talents of her students. Beth was very active in the St. Peters Sharks Swim Club and the Clayton Shaw Park Swim Team. Beth was also a member of St. Cletus Catholic Church.
Along with her husband Dan and mother Dolores, Beth is survived by her two loving children, Emily R. and Brendan R. Schroeder both are at home in St. Charles; brother, Joseph W. (Laura) Klaesner of Creve Coeur; two sisters, Madonna R. (Chris) Link of St. Charles and Stephanie J. (Steve) Westphall of Waynesville; mother-in-law, Elaine R. Schroeder of O'Fallon; three brother-in-laws, William "Bill" J. (Amy) Schroeder of St. Charles, Thomas "Tom" J. Schroeder, and Robert ''Bob" J. Schroeder of O'Fallon; sister-in-law, Theresa "Terri" J. (Vince) Ciaramitaro of St. Charles and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins plus countless number of friends.
Beth was preceded in death by her father, Henry J. Klaesner, and her father-in-law, William G. Schroeder.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Benz on Friday, March 23, 2018, at 10:00am. at the St. Cletus Catholic Church, 2705 Zumbehl Road, St. Charles. Burial will immediately follow Mass at Ste Philippine Cimetiere, 4057 Towers Road, St. Charles.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that friends may make donations in Beth's name to the Siteman Cancer Center - Colon Cancer Fund, CB 1204, 7425 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105.
