Elvira Alarcon, born on March 12, 1944, in a small town rich with tradition and warmth, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024. She lived a full life, characterized by her deep passions and the love she shared with her family and friends.
Elvira was a cherished matriarch who devoted herself not only to her career but also to nurturing those around her. As a talented hairdresser, she took pride in her work and found joy in the transformative power of beauty. Her artistic touch was known and appreciated by many who were fortunate enough to sit in her chair. Beyond her profession, Elvira was an excellent cook, often bringing family and friends together with her culinary creations. Her kitchen was a realm of flavor, laughter, and love, where memories were made over shared meals.
Traveling was another passion that greatly enriched Elvira's life, allowing her to explore new cultures and experiences. Notably, her love for dancing and music filled her spirit with vibrancy, drawing her to gatherings where she could celebrate life in rhythm and song.
Above all, Elvira treasured the time spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Their laughter and playful spirit were the highlights of her days, and she reveled in watching them grow and achieve their dreams.
Elvira is survived by her two sons, Carlos Alarcon and Alex (Stacy) Alarcon, both of Saint Charles, MO. She was a proud grandmother to five: Carlos P. Alarcon, Chelsey N. Conley, Devin O. (Karlee) Alarcon, Jacob A. Alarcon, and Bryce (Kimberly) Conley. The joy of her life was heightened by the presence of her eight great-grandchildren, Carson Doughty, Amora L. Alarcon, Naomi R. Alarcon, Sophia R. Moeckli, Maverick T. Conley, Madilyn S. Conley, Mia R. Conley, and Myles A. Conley. She is also survived by her sister, Amparo Aguilar, Rosie Saldana; her brother, Francisco (Violeta) Romero; four nieces, Diana Mendez, Violeta Romero Jr, Sandra Romero, Elizabeth (Antonio) B. Silva; four nephews, Geroge Aguilar, Arturo Aguilar, Joshua Romero, Jorge (Emma) F. Saldane their children are Christina, Paulina, and George. Along with a host of other family members and friends who will deeply miss her warmth and kindness.
Elvira was preceded in death by her father, Francisco Molina Romero, and her mother, Beatriz Ochoa Romero, her sister, Amparo Aguilar. While her physical presence will be profoundly missed, her legacy of love, strength, and joy will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
