Emery David Walick Sr.

November 4, 1942 — August 17, 2023

Emery David Walick, age 80, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania on November 4, 1942 to Emery and Cathrine Walick (nee Cochenour).

Emery grew up in Homestead Pennsylvania, where he had a knack for finding trouble. As a young man, Emery enrolled in the Marines where he excelled at being a Huey Helicopter Gunman awarding him a medal for Expert Marksmen and Sharpshooter. During this time, he was also a member of a quartet named Three Dots and a Dash known for singing many classics like "What's Your Name" and "In the Still of the Night".

After serving his country in Vietnam, he landed a job at TWA Airlines, in St. Louis. It was there, at a dance, where he met the love of his life, Carolyn. They were married for over 50 years and raised 5 children together. Some early years were spent piling 7 people in Emery's two-seater 1958 Corvette to the drive-in theater, riding horses, singing music and getting Ponticello's pizza.

Emery and Carol cherished going to car shows from the early 80s and were proud members of the Honkers Car Club. Emery had a love for 40 Fords and the "Coupe" held a special place in Emery and Carols hearts. Emery was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 313 and Local 600 Teamsters for over 36 years.

In the later years Wheel of Fortune was a staple in the Walick household as were many different sporting events. Emery joined the ROMEO's (Retired Old Men Eating Out) and enjoyed quality time with friends. Family and Friends were everything and Emery was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
