Emil Andrew Pavlik, age 94, of Foristell, Missouri passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on June 9, 1923 to Michael and Sophie Pavlik (nee Ketcher). Emil served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corp with the 7th Air Division in the Pacific Theatre before being honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. After his military service, Emil went to work for Southwestern Bell retiring as a Cable Technician after 35 years. He was a member of New Melle VFW Post 5651, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where he also served as an Usher, the Telephone Pioneers, and a member of the CWA for over 60 years. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling, and playing golf, especially at Incline Village. He was married to Dorothy Rose Pavlik who preceded him in death.
Emil is survived by his Son, Keith A. (Stacy) Pavlik of Saint Louis, MO, a Daughter, Christine M. (Frank, Jr.) Ross of Foristell, MO; a Brother, Robert (Dorothy) Pavlik of McKeesport, PA; grandchildren: Joey (Jamie) Orf, Eric Orf, Nick Orf, Devin Ross, Christian Orf, Drew Pavlik, Alex Ross, Cassie Pogue, Arron Ross, Tony Pavlik, A.J. Pavlik, Isaiah Bolton, Andrew Ross, Aundrea Ross and Nicolas Ross; plus a great-grandson Payton Ross; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, and sisters and brothers: Anna (Bib) Prokop, Helen (Mike) Sudi, Mary (Christopher) Wirth, Michael (Ann) Pavlik, John (Fran) Pavlik and Edward (Helen) Pavlik
Graveside Services, with Military Honors, will be 11:00 am Friday, July 14, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, New Melle, MO, by Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters, MO.
