Eric L. Stephens

Eric L. Stephens, age 52, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on August 7, 1971 to Charles and Leonna Stephens (nee Honbeck). 

Eric attended Lutheran North High School and graduated valedictorian of his class. He later became a member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity at UMSL. He was a proud union member of UAW Local 249 and worked at Ford for the last 27 years. Eric was proud to be apart of the Houston Lake community and enjoyed his home and neighbors in Kansas City.

 In his leisure time, Eric loved reading, fishing, bowling, gaming, and watching movies and sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs. He also found joy in cooking, gardening, and being outdoors. Eric loved spending time with Emily and Mike creating many special memories such as going to Worlds of Fun during Frightfest, playing board and card games, teaching them how to fish and shoot, and spending time with his family in Linn, MO. 

Eric will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and children but his memory will always be carried in their hearts.

Eric is survived by his son, Michael Stephens; his daughter, Emily Stephens; his father, Charles Edward Stephens Sr.; his brother, Ed Stephens Jr.; and his ex-wife and friend, Michele Stephens. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leonna Stephens.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm, all on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
