Ernest Davis

Ernest Davis, age 84, of Wentzville, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Wentzville, Missouri. He was born in Ruleville, Mississippi on June 26, 1938 to Leonard and Ruby Davis (nee Granberry).

Ernest was a Construction Worker at Ahal Contracting for 30+ years. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Celeste Davis, for 66 years.

Ernest was an exemplary model of a loving, dedicated, and hard-working father. He always put his family first. Ernest was an avid gardener, sports fan, and a master builder. There is nothing that he could not build with his own hands, and no one could do it as perfectly as he. Those who knew Ernest best could agree that he could have had an evening job as a stand-up comedian. He was a serious man but always found the humor in life.

Ernest was a very quiet man but full of knowledge. He showed his family how much he cared by being there for his wife and all ten of his children. There will never be another Ernest Davis.

Ernest is survived by his Wife, Eight Daughters, Gwendolyn (Donald) Cole, Debra (Marvin) Miliken, Brigitte Robertson, Brenda (Darrell) Flax, Karen Davis, Stephanie Gipson, Jacquelyn (Brian) Gilbert, Shellie (Anthony) Adams; Son, Michael (Kay) Davis; Two Sisters, Thelma Anders, Fannie Lee Harrell; Two Brothers, John Henry Simpson, Clay Davis; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Leonard Davis; Mother, Ruby Mabry Granberry; Son, Ernest Keith Davis; Son-In-law, Ronnie Robertson; Three Brothers, Stark Simpson, Leonard Davis, Jr., Bruce Davis; Sister, Loistine Smith.
