Ernestine Penny was December 8, 1940 in Marks Mississippi. Raised by two blessed parents Willie B. and Ida Mae Penny whom preceded her in her homegoing. Siblings whom made the transition as well, Charles Penny, John Penny, Tom Penny, Elinor Hick, Mary Peebles & Dorothy Wesley. One child Kimberly N. Henderson. Ernestine was educated in the Kinoloch Mo. Public School Dist. After relocating from Marks Mississippi in 1956 shortly thereafter she met Mr. Earl C. Henderson and united in Holy Matrimony 9 children blessed this union. Dedicated wife and mother, years of nourishing, navigated, organizing spiritually networking the fibers of our lives. Successfully getting all of her children on our educational journey she reinvented herself. Continuing her adult education gravitating to a career in Health Care. Her experience in this vast field spanned over 50 years. Ernestine adored caring for the mentally ill as well as the physically challenged. 25 years of service was given to Bellefontaine Neighbors State School & Hospital. Continuing to give with a Humanitarian Heart, she applied for services at MO. Veterans Hospital, before retiring after 25 years she was inspirational in opening one of the first Alzheimer's and dementia units. Even after retirement she continued doing Home Health Care. She was always nourishing her family and friends. She was truly a woman of many gifts, courageous, generous, spiritual monarch! Ernestine departed from this life as we know on September 4, 2018. She leaves to celebrate her legacy 8 children, Cynthia Watkins, Deidra Henderson, Robert Henderson (Jan) from Kansas City MO, Ronald Henderson (Regina Gary Henderson CSM (Reginald D. & Melody Atkinson from Killeen Texas, Tracy Henderson, Nicholas Henderson (Yolanda) 6 siblings James Penny (Odie) from So. Holland, IL. Clarence Penny (Loretta) from Ft. Lauderdale FL. Jerome Penny from Killeen Texas, Patricia Penny, Kenneth Penny, Tondia Penny, All from Kinloch MO. Generations strong beginning with her 20 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great, Great Grandchildren, Host of Special Nieces & Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
