Esta Rogers

Esta Rogers, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, left peacefully from this world on November 28, 2024, in Bridgeton, Missouri. Born on September 20, 1936, in Anna, Illinois, she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. Esta’s vibrant spirit and indomitable strength touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know her.

Esta was well-known for her witty personality and her unique way of viewing the world. She was always quiet at times, but when necessary, her candid thoughts would shine through, often leaving her loved ones in fits of laughter. Her warmth and kindness were infectious; she had an innate ability to brighten a room with her presence. Esta’s faith in God was unwavering, and she dedicated herself to her church family, where her beautiful soul resonated through her joyful singing.

Throughout her life, Esta embraced her passions wholeheartedly. She was an avid traveler and a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and football. Her competitive spirit was evident when she played laser tag or reached for new heights on rollercoasters, even at the seasoned age of 61, with her beloved grandchildren by her side. Esta was also an excellent quilter, creating beautiful works of art that will forever be treasured by those who received them.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Robin Tate; her grandchildren Jaime (William) Lorenz, Jeremiah (Melissa) Tate, and Destiny Loughary; her great-grandchildren Savannah Montgomery, Autumn Newgard-Lorenz, Selene Lorenz, and Lorelei Tate; her dear friend Patricia Richardson; and her siblings Don Winn, Lucille Limbert, and Roberta (Jim) Suits. Everyday, these family members and friends will carry with them the warmth of Esta's memory and the love she shared.

Esta was preceded in death by her husband, Eslen "Tracy" Rogers; her parents, Rosey and Robert Winn; her son, Steven Rogers; her grandson, Jasson Tate; and her brother, Joel Winn. While their absence is deeply felt, the legacy of love and kindness Esta imparted will eternally stay in the hearts of those left behind.

A visitation to celebrate Esta’s life will be held on December 2, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on December 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters, Missouri. The funeral service will take place on December 3, 2024, at 12:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis at 2:00 PM.

As we gather to remember Esta Rogers, let us cherish the memories of her laughter, her kindness, and the love she so freely gave to everyone around her. She will be missed dearly, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
