Esther Victoria Schaefer

Esther Victoria Schaefer (Muehlhauser), 98, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019. She was born January 15, 1921, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of George and Victoria Muehlhauser. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Raymond Schaefer, on June 8, 1946, and they were blessed with three wonderful children: Gary, Michael, and Sandra.
Esther had an adventurous spirit; she loved to fish, travel, and most importantly spend time with her family. Esther was preceded in death by her parents; George and Victoria Muehlhauser, and her husband, Raymond Schaefer (2008). She is survived by her loving children: Gary Schaefer and his wife Ann, Michael Schaefer and his wife Linda, and Sandra Zelle and her husband Robert. Esther was treasured by her eight grandchildren: Paul, Bryan, Lisa, Jennifer, Carrie, Robert, Emily, and Kathleen. Life also blessed Esther with fifteen great-grandchildren: Ethan, Cain, Van, Abigail, Henry, Owen, Bennett, Logan, Robbie, Julia, Joey, Lily, Gus, Ella, and Baby Schaefer. Esther was so loved and had many close relatives and friends who cared for her deeply including loving friends Gerry and Barb Martin and their family.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 4:00pm-8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, M0. Funeral service will be Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
