Eugene (Gene) Forst, age 84, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on April 9, 1937 in St. Louis to Albert and Margaret Forst.
Beloved husband of Frances Forst (nee Gronemeyer), Dear father of Steve (Kathleen) Forst and Anne (David) Diederich, dear grandfather of Daniel Forst, Emily (Andy) Lammers, Kristina (Trevor Davis) Forst, Mallory Diederich and great grandfather of Margot Lammers. Dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and Siblings, Albert (Martha) Forst,
Rev. Aloys Forst, Rita Forst, Vincent (Adell) Forst, and Margaret Mary (Dr. Fred) O'Connell.
Gene graduated from St. Louis University High School where he played football, baseball and was captain of the Varsity basketball team. He played basketball while attending Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN. Gene served his country in the US Army Reserve. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams fan. He worked at Pet, Inc. as a tax accountant for 30 years until his retirement in 1995.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Impact Movement or Alzheimer's Association.
