Evelyn Marie Condray

Evelyn Marie Condray, age 80, of Festus, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Sainte Genevieve, Missouri. She was born in Sikeston, Missouri on May 8, 1944, to Asa and Vera Matlock (nee Shelton).

Evelyn was a devoted follower of Jesus and a devoted wife and mother. She was blessed to have lived an active and interesting life filled with many hobbies including traveling with her family and fellow seniors from her church, sewing, quilting, and regular lunch dates with close friends. Her infectious smile and welcoming personality were rooted in her Christian faith and served as living example of our Lord's commandment to love one another.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Stephen James Condray; her stepsons, James N. Condray Jr., and William N. (Debbie) Condray; stepdaughter, Janet R. (Kevin) Wiltshire; her step-daughter-in-law, Kathy Condray; sister-in-law, Martha Matlock; her brothers, Alan (Sandra) Matlock, Stanley (Barbara) Matlock, and John (Susan) Matlock. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Asa E. Matlock; her mother, Vera M. Matlock; her husband, James N. Condray, Sr.; her stepdaughter, Nola F. (Jerry) Manis; her brother, Gordon Matlock.

Visitation will be from 10:30 am until 11:30 am, a funeral service will take place at 11:30 am, all on Monday, June 24, 2024, at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
