Faye Shelton Branca age 84, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away peacefully on April 9, 2018, surrounded by her family at Evelyn's House. Faye was born on January 4, 1934 in Ft. Payne, Alabama. She was the daughter of Zeddie Mason and Laura Evergreen (Shankles) Shelton.
Faye dedicated her working career in the banking business. She started as a teller for the Florissant Bank and later became an assistant manager. When she moved to Summerville, South Carolina, she worked as a teller for the local Wachovia Bank. In 2001 Faye returned to St. Charles and became a receptionist for Frontier Skilled Nursing from 2012-2015.
Faye enjoyed traveling and vacationing with family and friends. A couple of her more memorable trips included traveling to Mexico and Venezuela. She also was known to have fun bowling with friends. Later in her retirement, Faye took great pleasure in going to the casino with her fiancé Mark.
Along with her fiancé Mark Eilers, Faye is survived by her loving daughter, Gina (Kevin) Albert of Saint Charles, Missouri; two step-daughters, Terry (Tim) Dolan of St. Peters, Missouri and Carol (Jim) Hume of Maui, Hawaii; step-son, John Charles (Janice) Branca of Santa Rosa, California; Faye also had ten grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband John "Papa John" Charles Branca; two children, son, Mark Walters and daughter Renee Branca Jett. Also Faye was preceded in death by her two brothers, Buck and Billy "Sonny" Shelton; five sisters, Eva Johnson, Polly Bailey, Amy Lynch, Ruth Brown and Grace Shelton .
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 3:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters. Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 7:00 pm with Pastor Doyle Roth of the Harvester Christian Church officiating. Cremation and burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that friends may make memorial contributions in Faye's name to Shelter Friends, 2835 W Randolph St, St Charles, Missouri, 63301.
