Francis Joseph Schmersahl, age 84, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 in Saint Charles, Missouri.
Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Friend.
Frank was a kind and generous man who loved his family and friends, especially the four-legged furry ones. When it was time for meals or treats they always got the best scrambled eggs, cheeseburgers and braunschweiger.
The man loved his work and was very skilled at what he did. He started at a young age working for his father, Joseph G. Schmersahl, then went on to work for many companies in the construction industry to finally creating his own company F.J. Schmersahl Construction Co. Anyone who knew Frank knew to drive past his home when the holidays were upon us to see his light display - truly one of a kind. Quite often he would work on his lights until 2 in the morning. As we get older, most people slow down, not him. He just kept going whether it was lights, cabinets to be made, flowers to plant it didn't matter he just got it done. He was a wonderful man and will truly be missed.
"He was a friend, mentor - a true craftsman and I am so proud to call you my father".
-Michael
