Frank J. Cusumano, age 88, of East Alton, Illinois passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 11, 1933 to Alexander and Jennie Cusumano (nee Bommarito).
Frank grew up in St Louis Missouri and enjoyed the candy, baseball and life's lessons our city provided, leaving school at an early age to learn his life long trade in concrete.
Joining Cement Masons Local 527, Frank got busy building a future he wanted with a girl that was, according to him, "All legs", Miss Barbara Halbrook. They married on May 16, 1953. The Army needed Frank one month later, and away he went to serve his country.
Frank came back to St. Louis, raised his family and gave the Cement Masons Local 527, their oldest living member in 2020, receiving a 75 year plaque. He was proud.
He enjoyed building, music, dancing, cooking, and above all his family
Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Cusumano (nee Halbrook); his sons, Frank S. (Angela) Cusumano, Rick J. Cusumano and Terry J. Cusumano; his grandchildren, Deena (Stacey) Westrich, Rick Cusumano, Kristian Cusumano (Kacie Prey), Jamie (Brandy) Cusumano and Zachary Cusumano, and his great-grandchildren, Dylan (Megan) Riley, Anika Cusumano, Samantha Cusumano, Olivia Cusumano, Ava Cusumano and Jaxyn Cusumano. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
