Frank Charles Durbin, age 80, of Spanish Lake, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 15, 1939 to Charles and Bessie Durbin (nee Jones).
Frank, from a young age, was a student and parishioner of the Bellefontaine United Methodists Church and he was also an usher for about 15 years and served many other roles in support of the church. Frank enjoyed doing yard work, watching the Cardinals, Blues, and various other sports, as well as music and classic movies such as his favorite around Christmas, "It's a Wonderful Life". He attended Arthur Miller School of Dance where he learned dances such as the Jitterbug Swing that he would do at the famed Club Imperial to performers such as Ike and Tina Turner. Frank also was involved with Boy Scout's and attended Harris Teachers College. At one time, he worked at the Phillips 66 service station at the foot of the Chain of Rocks Bridge on historic route 66 and later owned a Texaco station. Frank was always interested in tinkering and repairing things. He also was a TV repairman and then had a lengthy career as an parts associate at auto dealerships, the longest being 32 years at Disalvo AMC Jeep. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 618.
It was always very important to Frank to keep in touch with his friends and acquaintances with cards, letters, and phone calls.
Frank is survived by his Nephew, Bryan Hayward, Cousin, Gerald "Gus" (Nanna) Wurtz, their children, Mark Wurtz and Lisa Murphy also Cousins, Joe Wurtz, Joan Turpin and Walter Thurer. He will also be dearly missed by a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Frank Durbin; Mother, Bessie Mary Durbin; Two Sisters, Madalyn Hayward, Louise M Spencer; and Nephew, Kevin Hayward.

Visitation will be held at Bellefontaine United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 9 am until 11 am.
Church services will be held at 11 am with a graveside service to follow at 12:30 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery.
