Francis Marion Smith, Jr., age 72, of Maryland Heights, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2021 in Bridgeton, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 28, 1948 to Frank and Mary Smith (nee Lieser).

Frank was retired from the US Army. He had a sense for adventure, riding his motorcycle and loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman that could out fish anyone. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

We will miss his guidance, sense of humor, storytelling and his loving companionship.

Frank is survived by his children, Vanessa (Steve) Sisk, Jamie Smith, Francis E Smith, Matthew R Smith; step-children, Ernest Moore, Melinda (Pat) Terry, Melissa (Jay) Laycob; grandchildren, Wayne Bird, Sandy Bird, Travis Bird, Ashlea Kauffman, Sera Sisk, Skylar Smith, Maxwell Smith, Nathan Terry, Nicole Terry, Nicholas Terry, Mason Laycob, Mackenzie Laycob, Jessica Holder, Ryan Moore and Peyton McLaurin; great-grandchildren, Dillon Bird, Dean Bird, Malcom Kauffman, Cyrus Young-Bird, Draven Young-Bird,and Liam Terry and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra L Smith; parents Frank M Smith III and Mary Virginia Smith; grandchildren Traci Sisk, Justin Keeney, and Valerie Moore.

Funeral Ceremony will be 10:00 am Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be Monday, March 1, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00pm.
