Fred H. Bray, Jr., age 69, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 18, 1951 to Fred and Mary Bray (nee Hilderbrand ).
Fred was a veteran of the United States Army serving from June 22, 1971 - June 21, 1973. He married the love of his life Christine L. Bishop on December 2, 1977 and have been married for over 43 years.
Fred worked and retired from the United States Postal Service since 1975.
He worked very hard to provide for his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandpa.
He was an avid hunter, enjoyed camping with family, shooting guns and spending time with family and grandkids.
Fred was the founder of the National Bonfire Organization and family members were forced into membership. The family will continue to keep the fire going.
Fred is survived by his wife, Christine Lee Bray; his children, Lesley (Donnie) Schellert, Scott Bray, Andrea (Kwan) Matthews, and Andrew (Kelly) Bray; his 10 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids; and his siblings, Judy (John) Topel, Brenda (Don) Bishop, Patty Bobbitt, Theresa (Bill) Foster, and Dale (Barb) Bray. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Hubert Bray, Sr.; his mother, Mary Bray; and his brother, Joseph Bray.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a funeral service at 7:00 pm both on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be private.
For the safety of Fred's family and their guests face coverings and social distancing will be required for all funeral events.
