Frederick Leroy Fields, age 87, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in Reynolds, Missouri on February 7, 1937 to Melvin and Helen Fields (nee Bridgewater).
Frederick was an avid craftsman and outdoorsman. He loved wood carving and gardening. He was married to Patricia Fields for 67 years. He was good at creating fun wood sculptures and tending to his beautiful garden. He served in the navy and was dedicated to his church community, often volunteering and participating in church activities
Frederick is survived by his wife,Patricia Fields; daughter, Sherri (Kent) Cooper; son, Brian Fields; two brothers, Ronald (Norma) Fields, Gary Fields; four sisters, Kathy Chapman, Carolyn (Melvin) Meade, Glenda (Donnie) Cooley, Beverly (Scotty) Tooley; five grandchildren, Stephan Fields, Sara (Jeremy) King, Adam (Cleo) Cooper, Kai Fields, Matthew Cooper; three great-grandchildren, Dexter King, Bowie King, Axel Fields; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen M. Fields; father, Melvin E Fields; two sisters, Marilyn Miller, Linda Douglas;
Visitation will be from 9:30am-10:30am with a service to immediately follow at 10:30am on April 29, 2024, at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 12:30pm on April 29, 2024.
