Gary M. Niemeyer

Gary M. Niemeyer, age 81, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in Osawatomie, Kansas on April 30, 1940 to George and Helen Niemeyer (nee Bauer).
Gary was an Electrical Engineer at McDonnell Douglas for 32 years. He was married to Jacqueline Delores Niemeyer on January 27, 1961 and enjoyed 60 wonderful years together.
Gary enjoyed golfing, working out, biking, yard work, and volunteered at his church, "mowing God's grass". The happiest times of his life were when he became a grandfather. Gary attended numerous school and sporting events, often pushing other parents out of the way to make sure he got good pictures of his grandchildren in action. He even hung swings in his basement for the grandchildren to play on. One of the loves of his life was his dog, Buddy. They enjoyed walks around the lake together, going on, as Gary would say, "a sniff and squirt".
Gary is survived by his daughters, Cheryl L. (Craig) Ryan and Nancy K. (Clifford) Merkel, son, Donald A. (Rhonda ) Niemeyer; grandfather of Kelly, Sandra (Cody), Elizabeth, Brandon (Allison), Melissa, Grant, and Charli. Great-grandfather of Colton, Cassidy, Camryn, and Gracelynn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Delores Niemeyer, parents, and two sisters.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 10:30am - 11:30am with the funeral service to follow at 11:30am. Private burial at Memorial Gardens.
