Genevieve Johnson

Genevieve Doretta Johnson, age 93, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 in Saint Charles, Missouri. She was born in St. Charles, Missouri on September 6, 1928 to William and Martha Bova (nee Wolthaus).

Genevieve is survived by her Son, Joseph E. Johnson, III of Portage Des Sioux, MO; Daughter, Myra Johnson of Saint Charles, MO; Son, Mark Johnson of Saint Charles, MO; Granddaughter, Shannon Johnson; Granddaughter, Jennifer Dorlaque; Grandson, Michael Johnson; Grandson, Donald Winkler; Grandson, Luke Connors; Granddaughter, Sophia Johnson; Granddaughter, Elizabeth Johnson; Granddaughter, Chloe Johnson; 13 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-Great grandchild; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Martha Bova; Father, William Bova; Son, Gary Johnson; Granddaughter, Amy Johnson; Two Grandsons, Elden Johnson, Jack Johnson; Husband, Joseph E. Johnson, Jr.; Two Sisters, Evelyn Tainter, Florence Ball; and Brother, William Bova.

Ginny was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved the Lord, her family, and friends. She had a distinctive and infectious laughter. Anyone driving down Fourth street would receive a friendly wave from Ginny as she sat on her porch. Ginny enjoyed dancing, spending time at family functions. She gave selflessly of herself to others.
