George "Mark" Shepard Jr., born on September 16, 1960, in Haiti, Missouri, peacefully departed from this life on September 22, 2024, in the comfort of his home. He was a dedicated educator and skilled craftsman, known for his unwavering commitment to his profession and loved ones.
Mark began his career working with his dad as a carpenter before he went on to teach Machine Tool at Lynn Tech College, where he inspired many students and fostered a love for learning in the field of technology. He later contributed his expertise to esteemed companies such as McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, and GKN AeroSpace, leaving a lasting impact in the aerospace industry.
Throughout his life, Mark was not only focused on his career but also deeply cherished the moments spent with his family. He found immense joy in fishing alongside his beloved wife, Debbie, creating cherished memories that they would hold dear. Mark's hobbies were a testament to his love for nature; he delighted in woodworking, landscaping, tying flies for fishing, and crafting lures. However, the greatest joy in his life came from being at home surrounded by his loved ones, especially his wife and his five grandchildren.
Mark faced a prolonged period of suffering in the weeks leading up to his passing, yet he chose to hold on so he could be here for his 11th wedding anniversary with Debbie, a testament to their profound bond. His passing marks the end of a life rich with love, dedication, and memories that will be treasured forever.
