Gerald J Brennan, Jr, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 30, from COVID-19 complications.
Jerry was born to the late Gerald and Norine Brennan, September 13, 1955, in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Rosary High School in 1973 and attended University of Missouri. Jerry married Debbie (Minzes) Brennan in 1978, and they built their life together in St. Charles, Missouri.
Jerry spent his career as a food broker. Following in his father's footsteps, he built his own business serving clients and customers across the St. Louis region. His business philosophy was to build genuine relationships and to truly take care of people, and he worked hard day in and day out to live out this mission.
But his real life's work was devoted to building a family. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, and children: Stephanie (Brennan) and Paul Fox of Seattle, WA, Melissa (Brennan) and Tim Grizzle of St. Charles, MO, Jennifer (Brennan) and Andy Tiehen of Denver, CO, and Matthew and Cindy Brennan of Overland Park, KS. He is leaving behind 14 beloved grandchildren: Miles, Norine and Julian Fox, Naomi, Phoebe, Simone and Camille Grizzle, James, Henry, Mack and Annette Tiehen, and Graham, Calvin and Winnie Brennan. He was a loving brother to Debbie (Brennan) Schnettgoecke, Denny Brennan, Michael Brennan, Patrick Brennan, Catherine "Missy" Brennan, and is preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Norine Brennan, and brother Tom Brennan.
In lieu of flowers and in consideration of Jerry's passion for education, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Seton Regional Catholic School in his name.
Due to the pandemic, a private memorial service will be held for immediate family only at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Saturday, Jan 2, 2021. The family is planning a future celebration of life as soon as its safe, that will include all the extended family and friends who meant so much to him.
