Gerald Joseph Cavanaugh Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church July 12, 2022. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Doherty); dear father of Jeffrey (Linzi), Julie (Jim) Lohr, Matthew (Devery); loving grandfather of Margaret, Katherine, Ryan, Joseph, Blake, Reid, Bradley, and William; beloved brother of Sharon (Greg) Ritter, Margot and the late Richard (Jean), Patricia (the late Stephen) Corkery and Diane; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Jerry was a proud alumnus of McBride High School. He graduated from Rockhurst University and was inducted in the Rockhurst Athletics Hall of Fame as a member of the 1964 Soccer Team. He went on to earn a master's degree from Saint Louis University. After 37 years of service, he retired from Emerson.

Services: Funeral Mass on Monday, July 18, 10:00 a.m. at Ascension Catholic Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McBride Legacy Scholarship at Chaminade College Preparatory School. Click Here to donate.
